‘Le Jeu de Salim’ needed to be presented in front of a jury of professional synopsis-writers in the film industry. It was also my first attempt at professional fiction-writing.
To pitch my idea and characters to the jury, I used simple mind maps that could quickly illustrate the story I wanted to convey.


Because I prefer stories with messages, I also did a lot of research on games and their history with (toxic) masculinity. Sofia, previously Game Spectrum, did a wonderful video essay on the topic. It is now private, but I used it plenty of times back then as a source for my synopsis.

SYNOPSIS-WRITING

This synopsis underwent multiple iterations before its final form here. The aim with it was to write a story with an interesting disruptive element, clear and different peripeties, and a satisfying climax that ties all the loose ends and completes every character arc.
